| DUTIES & RESPOBSIBILITIES | To ensure the safe and efficient unloading / loading of vessels in line with SACT operating and performance standards |
| JOB DETAILED |
u Undertake thorough checking of equipment before starting to work. (Includes spreader – flipper and other switches) u Loading and unloading containers to / from trailers. u Full knowledge in handling of spreader hoisting / lowering and appropriate use of flipper guide. u Observe safety limits and other prescribed procedures for execution of assigned moves in and around the terminal, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and damage to Man, equipment and containers. u Ensure that, the correct positioning of gantry and working bays. u Ensure that the crane is properly secured with ground anchorage after completion of operations. u Communicate with assigned Tally/Hatch men for smooth and safe vessel operations. u Report to Team Leader before commencing the duty for check the assignment of equipment. u Work to agreed operating and performance standards u Need to operate any other crane , equipment or machines when operational needs arises u Follow and maintain safe working practices at all times. u Undertake other duties as needed and directed by the superior. |
