Job Description
Job Summary:
Undertake the preventive maintenance of the equipment such as STS,RTG, ECH,RST, TT and Service Vehicles. Troubleshoot the equipment. Coordinate with Operators in monitoring the condition of the equipment. Prepare the breakdown report and implement the preventive maintenance schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that handling equipment are in good operating condition before operation.
Conducts electrical / electronic troubleshooting in cases of equipment breakdown, identifies the problem and rectify. Prepare breakdown report for every breakdown activity attended.
Ensure all the engine trouble shooting and maintenance of equipment.
Undertakes the preventive maintenance of the equipment:
- Checks the motors and generators of the equipment
- Checks/replaces the malfunction parts
- Cleans the equipment’s
- Conducts insulation tests
- Checks the controls, including drive systems and PLC.
- Air conditioner and substation maintenance
- Checks the lighting system
- Ensure safe and clean working environment before and after any maintenance activity.
Subsidiary Activities:
Conducts workshop repairs of re-usable spare parts, maintain records and return to stores for safekeeping.
Monitors the conditions of the equipment through proper coordination with Operations Department.
Other Duties:
Ensure the quality of work, housekeeping, ensure cleanness of terminal and the availability of equipment.
Job Specifications / Requirements:
Educational Attainment : Graduate or Diploma/ITI in engineering or Equivalent.
Work Experience:
Min 5 years’ in electrical maintenance of heavy Equipment preferably, such as reach stackers,
Required Skills :
Technical skills in maintenance of heavy Lifting equipment handling cranes.
Technical skills in handling & troubleshooting Knowledge in automobile air-conditioner, crane.
Detailed technical knowledge of lifting equipment Electrical / electronic system, critical components And the appropriate maintenance, inspection and Testing of such items. Knowledge of technical Specifications relating to equipment.
