DUTIES & RESPOBSIBILITIES Supervising and advising the Control Officer regarding communications with all shipping lines regarding domestic container movements within and outside Port Terminal through emails.
JOB DETAILED
Maintains contact with Yard and Operations team during Direct-delivery process.
Responsible for safety, quality and compliance with Agent specifications.
Monitors and advises Control Officer in logging container movements, noting dates, times, tonnages and relevant details in system and providing the same information to Agents when demanded.
Reports problems and issues to the Safety & Operations Lead, as needed, especially issues of complexity or great impact in the Gate Control Operation.
Responsible for planning and supervising members of his team on a daily basis, on a rotaional 24-hour operation.
Liase with Project Manager to adjust work plans to cover all forms of absenteeism, annual leave, sick leave and emergencies.
Ensures that all employees are in compliance with safety & Operational procedures of Gate as per Port Authority requirements.
Works with management staff to improve performance of the unit.
Submit reports on container movements and inventory of all categories to Project Manager when demanded.
Responsible for Control officers and gate clerks
