II. Job Summary:
Plans, organizes, and controls the Mechanical Maintenance activities to ensure the effective delivery of operational and administrative responsibilities related to Mechanical Maintenance. Key areas of responsibility are to ensure that the Maintenance Program of the Mechanical Group is properly planned, implemented, and accomplished according to company policies.
III. Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Principal Duties:
1. Oversees and ensures that operational requirements for STS, RTG, ECH, RST, and TT is met.
2. Coordinate with the Technician the daily task schedules and maintenance work.
3. Ensure that they have very good knowledge of hydraulic systems, Engine overhauling systems, and other all-mechanical related works.
4. Ensure that the daily equipment status is updated for reference by the Operations Department.
5. Ensure that the manpower is properly programmed.
6. Raise formal requisition for spare parts needed by the STS,RTG,ECH, RST, TT, and other ancillary types of equipment and various electrical and mechanical facilities of the terminal.
b. Subsidiary Activities:
1. Reviews the Weekly Performance Report with the Engineering Management.
2. Evaluates the subordinates performance based on skills matrix and identify training requirements.
3. Implement the Company Policies, standard procedures, and the Engineering Business Process.
c. Other Duties:
1. Ensures that the Company Policy and subsequent policies is strictly implemented at all times.
2. Submit regular periodic maintenance reports and monthly equipment performance report on time.
3. Responsible for the well-being and motivation of all members of the Section.
4. All other work as assigned by Engineering Head from time to time
IV. Job Specifications / Requirements:
Educational Attainment: Graduate or Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Work Experience: Min 5 – 8 years in supervision and management of mechanical activities in a related field preferably in the port environment.
Sex: Male
Age: 30 – 40 years old
Skills: Management skills in the maintenance of container terminal power stations and various
Mechanical facilities of the terminal. Detailed Technical knowledge of lifting equipment Mechanical systems, crane critical components and The appropriate maintenance, inspection and Testing of such items. Knowledge of technical Specifications relating to port equipment and Various mechanical facilities of the terminal. Cummins engine in-depth knowledge.
