Job Summary:
Our client, a prominent carton box manufacturing unit, is looking for an experienced and organized Storekeeper to oversee inventory and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage stock levels, ensure accurate records, and coordinate with production teams. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of SAP software is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Stock Distribution:
- Issue materials to the production team as per requisitions.
- Monitor stock movement and ensure timely replenishment of critical supplies.
- Record-Keeping:
- Use manual or digital systems (e.g., SAP) to track stock levels, purchases, and usage.
- Generate periodic inventory and usage reports for management.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials for easy access.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the storage areas.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to align inventory with production schedules.
- Communicate effectively in English for day-to-day operations and reporting.
- System Utilization (Optional):
- Leverage SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory tracking and reporting (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory or warehouse management are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Familiarity with inventory management software; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
