Job Summary:
Our client, a leading carton box manufacturing unit, is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Operator to join their team. The role involves creating and maintaining accurate technical drawings and designs tailored to carton box production requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drafting:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for carton box layouts, die cuts, and packaging designs using AutoCAD.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on client and production feedback.
- Production Design Support:
- Create technical specifications and templates to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure designs are practical and aligned with production capabilities.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documents.
- Prepare and hand over production-ready design files to the appropriate departments.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with production teams to resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, and engineers to clarify design requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications.
- Assist the quality team in addressing any design-related discrepancies in production.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is essential; knowledge of additional design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Illustrator) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of carton box manufacturing processes and technical design principles.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, preferably in a carton box or packaging manufacturing environment.
Work Conditions:
- On-site role at the manufacturing facility.
- May require occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
