Data Center Infrastructure Architect Specialist – 1800 KD
Job Description:
- Provide IT related advisory services to the identified requesters related to the solution architecture domain.
- Understand and identify the requester’s requirements and assess the suitability of Data Center site as per the required parameters.
- Support the requester in issuance of an RFP and assist him in the tendering process.
- Based on requester’s scope, perform Project Management Services for the solutions.
- Ensure adherence to overall data centres’ SLA commitments, performance, service availability, response time, problem resolution.
- Advise the requester on the required Data Center Certifications such as (ISO/ITIL).
- Assist in Resource Management for Data Center operations.
- Advise the requester on controlling & minimizing the running monthly expenditures (Capital and Operating expenses) for Data Center Infrastructure (Electrical/Power/UPS/DG/ BMS/Security/Fire Suppression/ etc.).
- Direct, manage and operate Production Data Center Environment.
- Upgrade both IT hardware and software environment and facilities infrastructure.
- Direct, manage and operate Disaster Recovery Environment.
- Direct, manage and operate Data Center facilities for overall IT and non IT infrastructure including but not limited to Maintenance Plan and Operation Level Agreement.
- Responsible for defining required level of physical protection in the Data Center.
- Define, design, implement, enhance, monitor and improve Data Center workflows, policies and procedures.
- Research and evaluate information of software and hardware systems.
- Resolve requester service support issues.
- Deployment of review systems to manage execution of projects on time and as per budgeted parameters on routine basis.
- Maintain enterprise architecture big picture/ vision for Hardware, Software, Licensing, Network and Solutions. Shall also design and evaluate new solution architectures.
- Infrastructure (Electrical/Power/UPS/DG/BMS/Security/Fire Suppression/ etc.).

- Review, interpret and respond to detailed Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between requester expectations and current or future CITG capability.
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
- Within the agreed/ established enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the Company in meeting its business objectives.
- Ensure that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete.
- Develop, document and present design solutions and alternatives.
- Integrate internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience.
- Prepare technical design options in collaboration with other architects.
- Identify application, data, and infrastructure components required or impacted to implement solutions.
- Analyze the technology environment, enterprise specifics, and documentation of requirements.
- Setting the collaboration framework, creating a solution prototype, participating in technology selection, controlling solution development and supporting project management.
- Maintain Data Center Benchmarking and Performance Metrics KPIs.
- Develop measures to improve process efficiency with respect to the parameters of Uptime & Quality Service.
- Maintain Fixed Assets System information.
- Operation Level Agreement (OLA) commitments, performance, service availability, response time, problem resolution.
- Any other work as assigned by the Supervisor or the Delegation of Power.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering /Computer Science /equivalent field or equivalent 8 years relevant work experience.
- Minimum two of the following Certifications: Accredited Tier Designer, Accredited Tier specialist, Accredited Operations specialist, TIA-942 Design Consultant CTDC, TIA-942 Internal or external auditor CTIA
- Experience in Data Center Infrastructure Architecture leadership role, designing end-to-end, operate Data Center across the complete lifecycle.
