Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Actively participates in the preparation of the monthly P&L and reporting process.
- Records journal entries and ensures the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of accounts and ensures/validates supporting documents of accounting transactions.
- Reviews monthly and yearly reports and assuring that all requirements are met and submitted in accordance to the local legislation and deadlines.
- Ensures proper implementation of the processes and related procedures.
- Follows accurately the workflow and reports any repetitive discrepancies.
- Implements the action plan and follows up on audit issues highlighted in the auditor reports.
- Ensures assets are well managed and controlled by doing the right posting on GP system and reconciling the books with the physical asset inventory.
- Develops quarterly reporting tool for the company’s assets.
- Identifies proactively and resolve any issues or reconciling items related to balance sheet accounts. (capex, etc.)
- Ensures accurate data entry evaluated through elimination of audit discrepancies in order to conform to statutory and reporting requirements.
- Ensures that book keeping and record management are done in an organized scientific way.
- Comes up with cost reduction initiatives for better business results.
- Perform related duties when requested by Director of Finance
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position at a reputable company
Qualifications
- Must know how to maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use
- Must have ability to prioritize ad hoc requests appropriate to the seniority of request and expectations of management
- Must have solid quantitative and analytical skills
- Must be skilled in preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules, and reports
- Must know how to make sound and independent judgments within established policies and procedures
- Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office
