Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Actively participates in the preparation of the monthly P&L and reporting process.
  2. Records journal entries and ensures the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of accounts and ensures/validates supporting documents of accounting transactions.
  3. Reviews monthly and yearly reports and assuring that all requirements are met and submitted in accordance to the local legislation and deadlines.
  4. Ensures proper implementation of the processes and related procedures.
  5. Follows accurately the workflow and reports any repetitive discrepancies.
  6. Implements the action plan and follows up on audit issues highlighted in the auditor reports.
  7. Ensures assets are well managed and controlled by doing the right posting on GP system and reconciling the books with the physical asset inventory.
  8. Develops quarterly reporting tool for the company’s assets.
  9. Identifies proactively and resolve any issues or reconciling items related to balance sheet accounts. (capex, etc.)
  10. Ensures accurate data entry evaluated through elimination of audit discrepancies in order to conform to statutory and reporting requirements.
  11. Ensures that book keeping and record management are done in an organized scientific way.
  12. Comes up with cost reduction initiatives for better business results.
  13. Perform related duties when requested by Director of Finance

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position at a reputable company

Qualifications

  1. Must know how to maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use
  2. Must have ability to prioritize ad hoc requests appropriate to the seniority of request and expectations of management
  3. Must have solid quantitative and analytical skills
  4. Must be skilled in preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules, and reports
  5. Must know how to make sound and independent judgments within established policies and procedures
  6. Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office
